JOIN AUTHOR JASON IRBY AT THE 2021 BLACK INDIAN AND NATIVE AMERICAN HERITAGE MONTH FAIR

Author Jason Irby cordially invited you to attend the Native American Heritage Month Observance and the 4th Annual Black Indian and Native American Month Fair.  

This event will take place on Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 10 a.m. until 12 noon. The location is the Arkansas Post National Memorial (The Picnic Pavilion), 1741 Old Post Road in Gillett, Arkansas 72055.

Author Jason Irby and Dr. Daniel Littlefield are the hosts.

Presentations will be conducted by the Sequoyah National Research Center, The Black History Commission of Arkansas, Arkansas Post National Memorial Interpreters and Cherokees for Black Indian History Preservation. Other presenters will be announced.

Topics to be discussed and observed will include:

  • The history of Arkansas Post National Memorial
  • The relationship among African Americans and Native Americans
  • Proposed diversity potential for images and displays at the Arkansas Post National Memorial site
  • Upgrades and updates for images and displays at the Arkansas Post National Memorial site
  • The importance of historical awareness related to the Arkansas Post National Memorial site
  • Information about the upcoming Tricentennial Celebration of La Petite Roche, April 2022, in Little Rock, Arkansas

This observance and fair is being sponsored by Jason Irby Innovation Foundation, Sequoyah National Research Center and the Black History Commission of Arkansas.

This event is free of charge and open to the general public. Free food will be served. COVID-19 protocols will be observed. National Park Service rules and policies will also be observed.
