On Saturday, February 23, 2019, Jason Irby will present the Fourth Annual Arkansas Heritage Celebration of Black History. This year’s theme is The Integrators.
Scheduled to make presentations are representatives from the following Arkansas high schools:
- Students from L. W. Sullivan High School integrated into Morrilton High School
- Students from J. S. Walker High School integrated into Willie K. Hocker High School
- Students from Howard County High School integrated into Saratoga High School

The 2018 Year End Review
“Each of the past 5 years I have called incredible, but 2018 has really had an incredible impact on my life. I’ve been blessed throughout the years and this year is no exception. This year many can see and kinda get a glimpse of my works, projects, and recognitions by viewing my recent awards. I gladly share my joy and outlook. Incredible cannot fully describe, ” shares Jason Irby.
The Black Indian and Native American Heritage Month Fair begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 10th with opening comments from the event establisher, Jason Irby, followed by a presentation of colors by the Parkview Arts Science Magnet High School ROTC.
“We presented this heritage event to preserve the history of Native Americans and the people of African descent who shared relationships among them. Relationships ranged from friendship, family membership, to slavery,” said Irby.
Join author Jason Irby in a celebration of Native American Heritage Month at the Black Indian & Native American Heritage Fair on Saturday, November 10, 2018 beginning at 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The event will be held at the University Plaza Shopping Center parking lot located at 5820 Asher Avenue in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Join author Jason Irby, Arkansas State Senator Stephanie Flowers, and Dorcas Vangilst, Executive Director of the Union Rescue Mission/Dorcus House on Saturday, October 20, 2018 to observe National Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
The event will be held at the Donald W. Reynolds Community Services Center of Pine Bluff located at 211 W. 3rd Avenue in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, beginning at 1:00 p.m.

“These ladies are two dynamic women of Arkansas history. We had wonderful presentations and discussion ranging from their family history to their roles in Arkansas culture, politics, and history. The audience this year was small and intimate and I wish many more people would’ve been here to participate and enjoy this occasion,” said Irby.
