“Each of the past 5 years I have called incredible, but 2018 has really had an incredible impact on my life. I’ve been blessed throughout the years and this year is no exception. This year many can see and kinda get a glimpse of my works, projects, and recognitions by viewing my recent awards. I gladly share my joy and outlook. Incredible cannot fully describe, ” shares Jason Irby.
Author Jason Irby was recently recognized for his writings, community efforts, and leadership.
“We presented this heritage event to preserve the history of Native Americans and the people of African descent who shared relationships among them. Relationships ranged from friendship, family membership, to slavery,” said Irby.
The 5th Anniversary of the Arkansas Flag/Wabbaseka Memorialwill take place on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. The event will be located at Paw Paw and South 1st Street in Wabbaseka, Arkansas. Refreshments will be served following the ceremony.

“These ladies are two dynamic women of Arkansas history. We had wonderful presentations and discussion ranging from their family history to their roles in Arkansas culture, politics, and history. The audience this year was small and intimate and I wish many more people would’ve been here to participate and enjoy this occasion,” said Irby.
