“These ladies are two dynamic women of Arkansas history. We had wonderful presentations and discussion ranging from their family history to their roles in Arkansas culture, politics, and history. The audience this year was small and intimate and I wish many more people would’ve been here to participate and enjoy this occasion,” said Irby.

The program also featured honors and citations given to each recipient by the Arkansas Secretary of State.

The event will be located at 217 Main Street, Pine Bluff, Arkansas, beginning at 2:00 p.m. This year’s theme is “Awareness, Wellness, and Choices” focusing on violence prevention, resolutions, and contributions of the community.
Jason Irby recently received a visit from an Arkansas Wildlife Officer from the
Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.
The Wildlife Officer and Irby walked and inspected the property discussing conservation practices as they moved through the grasses, trees, and shallow water area.
This has been a great year so far. The
Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) farm practices for the conservation and habitat are coming along as scheduled.
Dr. Wanda M. Hamilton received recognition before an attentive audience for her historical community and civic contributions at the annual

Hamilton was unable to accept her award at the 2nd annual Arkansas Heritage Celebration of Black History Month due to unforeseen circumstances.
The Arkansas Heritage Celebration of Black History Month was established by Jason Irby in February 2016 as part of his
Awareness, Wellness, and Choices forum.
