The fourth (4th) annual Arkansas Heritage Celebration of Black History Month was presented by local author Jason Irby on Saturday, February 23, 2019.
This year’s theme was “The Integrators“. Presentations were given by students who integrated schools from around the state of Arkansas. High School integrators included:
On Saturday, February 23, 2019, Jason Irby will present the Fourth Annual Arkansas Heritage Celebration of Black History. This year’s theme is The Integrators.
Scheduled to make presentations are representatives from the following Arkansas high schools:
- Students from L. W. Sullivan High School integrated into Morrilton High School
- Students from J. S. Walker High School integrated into Willie K. Hocker High School
- Students from Howard County High School integrated into Saratoga High School

The program also featured honors and citations given to each recipient by the Arkansas Secretary of State.
